idea for cover

since tracy came out of the gates strong last week [nice work tracy]i was thinking of some possibilities for the cover. i saw this little ditty on the web and thought maybe tracy could make some pattern out of her little illustrations [probably come up with a few more] and we've got ourselves a cover. this gal's name is julia rothman i think. i don't know much about her, but that doesn't really matter. any thoughts?

rough group schedule [(needs work) see previous post for more details]

email from clane

hey everyone, i just checked my artcenter email and i got an email from clane. i'm sure we all did, but for those of you like me who only check that account occasionally, this is what it said:

GD2 Students

Production Schedule(s) follow-up for all design teams and individuals:

1. Create a detailed production plan projected for each of the remaining weeks in the term. Who is doing what and when. Take particular note of those design areas that require group approval, i.e. covers, divider pages, formatting, etc.

2. The contents of the plan should include a comprehensive list of all assigned individual responsibilities and objectives week by week plus scheduled team meetings through the term. This includes photo shoots, art/design creation, writing, design production, proofing, assembly, bindery and other issues/tasks that are particular to your project. For the Sunset Blvd. team this may require an overall coordinating schedule and a series of individual schedules.

3. As for photography; You should prepare a "Shot List" which should identify specific photographic objectives, number of shot s, location, time of day, nature of the light, scope (focus) of each photo.

4. You should also be preparing preliminary sketches of your future page layouts.

5. Provide answers the following: How will you handle credits, page numbers, location identification maps, and other issues that will help the reader navigate your work?

6. Please have copies of these materials ready for review in class next week. You do not need to send me a pdf as previously noted.

so i'm thinking we might need to dig a little deeper into our schedule and make it more intensive. i will post the list we made and if anyone has any ideas post them.

thesis

so i've been working on wording my thesis correctly and have yet to pin-point it exactly. i really like the idea of shooting people who make sunset sunset. i've been thinking about the line of "new everytime" as a theme for all my pieces. i have photographed people who i imagine are always there, but are seeing things new everytime. they may or may not be, but i like to think that they are.

thesis

The documentation of the inhabitants of sunset experiencing sunset.
